A sleep in
>> 02 April 2009
My MSW class for community organization held a protest this Wednesday to seek accommodations for the final. We came in, with 600 signatures, 100 letters, a proposal, and in our pjs. We marched in with our written ammunition and collapsed into a sleep in the classroom. We lay there unresponsive as he read our letters until at the appointed time we rose and paid silent attention to him. He said, he'd accommodate us and let us know via email tomorrow. How much accommodation? We will have to see. We may have some more negotiating to do.
We had a good time though. Students and professor alike couldn't keep from giggling with glee.
4/5/09 UPDATE: Our teacher was so impressed. He said he has never had a class go to such lengths to seek accomodation. He deliberated, and then... cancelled the final!!!

haha sounds like that would've been fun. And also a neat way to protest something!
Seeking what accommodation's? Were you trying to get it canceled or just find a classroom to hold you all. I'm not feeling smart. . . help
We told him we couldn't take his comprehensive final (which would be about 15 essays) but that we could rate ourselves and each other to give a final grade score.
